Dobbies Garden Centre in Shepton Mallet is a large branded retail destination where dogs are welcome inside the garden centre itself. You'll find a good retail breadth across plants, homewares and seasonal stock, plus an on-site restaurant and food hall. The dog-friendly access covers the shopping areas, so you can browse together without the usual lead-and-car shuffle.
The garden centre sits just outside Wells on the Mendip corridor, making it a practical stop when you need compost, a new watering can or just a break from the rain with your dog in tow. Dobbies also runs in-store events and dog-friendly activity has been confirmed at seasonal occasions.
Dogs aren't generally allowed in the restaurant or food hall, so plan accordingly if you're after a sit-down meal. For everything else, though, it's a straightforward indoor-welcome garden centre with plenty to keep both ends of the lead occupied.
