Drenagh Gardens

Drenagh Gardens is a restored estate garden near Limavady, around fifteen miles from Portrush, where dogs on leads are welcome throughout the outdoor grounds. The estate features an arboretum, Italian Garden, walled garden and parkland walks, offering a proper day out for dog owners who want more than a simple local stroll. The gardens are open seven days a week, 9am to 4pm.

Dogs are welcome on leads across the grounds, though the house area—including the Moon Garden—is reserved for weddings and their guests and is clearly signed. This is a grown-up garden visit with real variety underfoot: woodland paths, formal garden rooms and open parkland.

Membership is available for unlimited access and priority booking for garden events, though day visitors are welcome. It's a thoughtful destination when you both need a change of scenery and the lead works just fine.
