That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Tucked into a lush Cornish valley near Lostwithiel, the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery feels less like a garden centre and more like a slow, wandering kind of day out.
Think winding paths through plants and glasshouses, pockets of seating, and that quiet “we’ll just have a quick look” energy that accidentally turns into a full afternoon. There’s a café for refuelling, outdoor spaces to stretch the legs, and plenty of corners where dogs can potter alongside you rather than waiting outside.
It’s an easy, low-friction stop that works beautifully between walks or as a gentle anchor to the day — the kind of place where nothing is rushed, and everything just… flows.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome on a lead in the entrance, glasshouse, café, nursery and outdoor areas — making it easy to explore together. They’re not allowed in the Orangery or main shop, so just a little route planning needed mid-wander.
