Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Indoor Welcome Last Verified:

Dyffryn Fernant Garden is an established independent garden attraction just outside St Davids, where well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome to wander the planted grounds alongside you. Open daily from April to the end of October, it's a seasonal day out built around borders, quiet corners and the sort of planting that rewards a slow meander—even with a terrier keen to supervise every bench. The garden opens at noon and closes at 5pm throughout the season, so you've time to arrive, settle into the rhythm and explore without rushing.
Admission is charged, though children under 16 visit free. Free parking and visitor toilets are on site, which sorts the basics before you've even reached the entrance.
Dogs must stay on short leads throughout and there's no confirmed indoor access for them beyond the outdoor visitor areas. That said, the garden itself is the draw here—a proper horticultural day out in north Pembrokeshire, within easy reach of Fishguard and the coast, where your dog's company is part of the plan.
