A tucked-away Victorian park in the heart of Ramsgate, Ellington Park is one of those easy, go-with-the-flow spaces where a quick walk quietly turns into a proper linger. With rolling lawns, tree-lined paths and over a century of history woven into the landscape, it feels both open and gently enclosed at the same time.

There’s plenty to drift between here. Wide paths for wandering, big grassy stretches for flopping down mid-walk, and a restored bandstand and terrace that give the whole place that “we’ll just sit here a minute” energy. The café sits neatly on the upper terrace with views across the park, making it an easy stop for coffee, cake or a slow reset before heading back out.

It’s a well-loved local spot for dog walkers, families and anyone needing a breather from the seafront bustle. Think gentle loops, shady corners and plenty of “one more lap” moments before you finally call it.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome in the park. The park asks owners to keep aggressive dogs on leads, keep all dogs out of the wildlife area, and use the dog mess bins provided to help keep the space clean for everyone.
