That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Enterprise Boats runs scenic Fal River trips between Falmouth, Malpas and Trelissick, with high-tide cruises to Truro also on the timetable. Based near Truro—Malpas is about two miles from the city centre—the service is officially dog friendly, so four paws can join the boat without anyone waiting on shore while everyone else sets sail. The 2026 sailings are live on the official site, with active timetables and route details in place.
All sailings depend on tide, weather and crew discretion, so some flexibility helps. If you plan to hop off at Trelissick, let the crew know so they can adjust the route timing. Very limited parking is available in Malpas village; Visit Truro advises using the 496 bus from the city centre instead.
The Fal River route offers a proper visitor experience rather than just transport and knowing dogs are welcome on board means the whole group can enjoy the scenery together. It is handy for a dog-friendly day out around Truro, with the river trip adding something different to the usual town-centre wander.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome on the boat service, so everyone can join the Fal River trip together. Let the crew know if you plan to disembark at Trelissick.
