Fabrication York is a lovely fit for anyone who prefers independent shopping with a bit more soul, bringing together work by local makers, artists and designers in the city centre. It is less about generic souvenirs and more about crafted, Yorkshire-made things, spanning art, homewares, gifts and creative finds with a distinctly local feel. The shop has that browse-properly energy, the kind of place where you drift in for one look and come out clutching something you absolutely did not plan for.
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside. Sniffing is encouraged, shelf clearance is not, so keep curious noses and enthusiastic tails on their best shop-floor behaviour.
