That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Fairhaven Woodland & Water Garden is one of those places where everything slows down the moment you step in. Set in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, it’s over 130 acres of peaceful woodland, water and winding paths that feel a world away from the busier parts of Great Yarmouth.
There are miles of trails to wander, open views across the broad and plenty of quiet corners to pause, sit and take it all in. Dogs are warmly part of the visit too, with water bowls and treats on arrival, plus dog products in the gift shop, including leads, collars, dog-themed bags and useful bits for four-legged explorers.
Dogs are even welcome on the daily boat trips, which makes the whole place feel like a proper day-out option rather than just a gentle walk. They can also have their own garden membership, which is frankly excellent little woodland nobility behaviour.
Fairhaven also runs a fun annual dog day, giving four-legged visitors their own moment in the spotlight and making it feel even more like a place that genuinely understands dog people.
It’s less “what do we do next?” and more wandering, sniffing, boating and resetting together. A calm Norfolk Broads escape for both you and your dog.
