Fairhaven Woodland & Water Garden is one of those places where everything slows down the moment you step in. Set in the heart of the Norfolk Broads near Great Yarmouth, it's over 130 acres of peaceful woodland, water and winding paths that feel a world away from the busier coast. Dogs are warmly part of the visit too, with water bowls and treats on arrival, plus dog products in the gift shop including leads, collars and useful bits for four-legged explorers.

There are miles of trails to wander, open views across the broad and plenty of quiet corners to pause and take it all in. Dogs are even welcome on the daily boat trips, which makes the whole place feel like a proper day-out option rather than just a gentle walk. They can also have their own garden membership, and Fairhaven runs a fun annual dog day, giving four-legged visitors their own moment in the spotlight.

It's less "what do we do next?" and more wandering, sniffing, boating and resetting together. A calm Norfolk Broads escape for both you and your dog, where woodland nobility behaviour is actively encouraged.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome throughout the gardens (50p per dog) but need to stay on a short lead. They can't come into the tearoom, but there's outdoor seating so nobody has to do the pavement shuffle while someone else grabs a tea.
