Fern Coffee Bar is a welcoming specialty coffee shop on Argyle Street in Glasgow's city centre, where dogs are welcome inside. It's a handy stop for a flat white and a proper sandwich, with a relaxed sit-in feel that makes it easy to linger with your dog at your feet. The café serves breakfast from early morning Monday to Friday and opens at 8 a.m.
On Saturdays. Hot food and sharing platters round out the menu, so it's worth knowing you can settle in for more than just a quick coffee. The owners' own dog is a regular visitor and the atmosphere is warm and unfussy.
It's a short walk from Central Station, making it a practical refuelling spot before or after a train journey. Open until 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and with a more laid-back Sunday schedule, Fern fits easily into a day out in the city with your dog.
