That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

This isn’t a single attraction — it’s a whole day out stitched together. Ford & Etal is a collection of villages, walks, little attractions and “shall we just wander over there?” moments that somehow turn into a full-day roam without trying. It’s the kind of place where you park once and then just drift.
You’ve got riverside paths, rolling countryside, a tiny train linking spots together, castles, tearooms, and enough variety to keep both you and the dog interested without ever feeling hectic. It naturally falls into that easy rhythm — village to village, snack to snack, sniff to sniff.
And the big win? This place genuinely leans into dogs. Shops, tearooms and attractions are set up so the dog isn’t an afterthought, they’re part of the plan. There’s also a quiet sense of care behind it all, with areas of the estate managed to support wildlife.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are very welcome to explore, but leads are needed across the estate. Between 1 March and 31 July especially, it’s all about protecting ground-nesting birds — even the most innocent sniffing inspector can look like a threat to them 🐾
