Gloucester Cathedral is one of the city’s headline historic sites and the on-site café, The Monk’s Kitchen, makes it easy to turn a visit into a properly rounded pause. Cathedral information places the café just off the west walk of the cloisters with a calm atmosphere and a practical selection of refreshments. Expect hot drinks and fair-trade tea and coffee alongside snacks like cakes, soup, quiches and sandwiches and other light bites. Visitor listings also note accessibility details including lift access down to the café and toilets.

Gloucester Cathedral & Cafe: Well behaved dogs are welcome in the Cathedral Monday to Saturday during visiting hours. Dogs must be on a short lead and not left unattended. Some areas and all services, events and Sundays are assistance dogs only.
