The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway is a heritage railway offering scenic round trips and station stops through the Cotswolds. Dogs are welcome to travel on standard class trains, kept on a lead and settled on the floor, making it a brilliant day out for the whole family – four-legged passengers included. Your dog can join you at the railway's stations and board standard class services, though they're not allowed in First Class, catering vehicles or some special event trains.
A fare applies for dogs and they must stay under control throughout the journey. It's a proper steam-age experience without leaving the dog at home. The railway runs Tuesday to Thursday and weekends, though timetables vary by season, so check ahead before you travel.
Station car parks are available at Broadway and Winchcombe. Whether you're exploring Cotswold stations or settling in for a full round trip, it's a relaxed way to enjoy a heritage railway with your dog by your side.
