Goyt Valley

Goyt Valley is a Forestry England reservoir and woodland destination in the Peak District, just outside Buxton. Dogs are welcome throughout the outdoor valley landscape, woodland walk routes and all three car parks, making it an easy all-weather day out when you need space, scenery and no indoor distractions.

The site is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, so early risers and late-afternoon wanderers are both sorted. Free parking is available at Pym Chair, The Street and Errwood Hall, with no charges to worry about.

Forestry operations do take place across the valley, so keep an eye out for site notices and temporary path changes. This is proper outdoor territory: reservoir views, woodland paths and the kind of sniff-dense landscape that keeps leads tangled and noses busy.
