Grain & Hearth Bakery is an artisan bakery and café on Oxford Street in Whitstable, where dogs are welcome inside the café area. It's a relaxed spot for morning coffee, freshly baked pastries and brunch served until 2:30pm, with your dog settled at your feet while you enjoy the small-batch sourdough, cakes and seasonal bakes that arrive throughout the day. The café opens early for coffee and pastries most days, with brunch service from 10am.

The menu changes with the seasons and the bakery counter is a work-in-progress gallery of loaves, buns and sweet treats. It's as much a neighbourhood regular-haunt as a visitor stop and the easy-going atmosphere suits dogs who are happy to wait for crumbs.

Central Whitstable location makes it simple to pair with a Harbour Street or beach walk and the café's compact indoor space keeps things cosy without fuss. No dog menu or extras are confirmed, but the welcome is genuine and the coffee is strong.
