The Greyhound in Hickling is the kind of proper village pub that feels like it’s been waiting for you to turn up and stop being dramatic about the weather. Set in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, it’s a strong pick for post-walk lunches, cosy evening plates, and “we only came in for one” sessions that mysteriously become a full debrief.

Expect a welcoming, traditional pub vibe with food served alongside a good range of drinks, including cask ales, plus a beer garden for sunnier days when everyone suddenly becomes an outdoor person. It’s right by Hickling Broad territory too, so you can pair it with a waterside wander and return feeling pleasantly accomplished.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside in the bar area. Expect your dog to “help” by inspecting every bag, coat pocket and passing shoe like it’s a very serious job.
