Grosmont Station is a working heritage railway station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and well-behaved dogs are welcome to join the steam and diesel adventure on a short lead. You'll find engine sheds, station platforms and the genuine rumble of heritage trains, all set in the heart of the North York Moors. Dogs travel in standard coaches, on the floor rather than the seats and larger dogs may be directed to the guard's van depending on the service.

First Class and catering vehicles are off limits and there's a small additional fare for your dog. It's a proper day out for anyone whose plans revolve around keeping the whole pack together. The railway runs on varying days depending on the season—Saturday to Wednesday from late March to mid-July and mid-September to early November, then daily through the summer.

On operating days, services typically start around 09:20 and continue past 18:00. Tickets are bookable in advance and parking information is available through the railway's official guidance for Grosmont Station.
