Grounds Café sits inside West Stow Country Park near Bury St Edmunds, serving hot drinks, light meals and homemade cakes to walkers, families and visitors exploring the historic Anglo-Saxon village and surrounding trails. Dogs are welcome inside the café, so you can settle in together after a ramble across the parkland or heathland paths.
The café offers handmade dog biscuits and dog ice cream alongside the usual human menu, which means both ends of the lead get a treat. It's a proper countryside pit stop where muddy paws won't raise an eyebrow and your dog can sprawl under the table while you refuel.
Opening hours shift with the seasons: the café stays open until 5 pm on weekends during summer and closes a little earlier in winter. It's a practical base for a morning walk and coffee or a lazy afternoon break when the park paths have worn everyone out.
