Indoor Welcome Last Verified:

Grub Kitchen is a pioneering edible insect café at The Bug Farm near St Davids, and dogs are welcome inside alongside you. It's an unusual and genuinely useful stop if you're exploring Pembrokeshire with the dog and want somewhere your whole group can settle in together while you try something completely different.

The café serves food between 12:00 and 14:30 (extending to 15:30 during Welsh school holidays), with drinks and cakes available all day, and both indoor and outdoor seating — so you can bring the dog in for lunch without leaving anyone in the car. The Bug Farm itself is dog-friendly on leads throughout the site, with only the Tropical Bug Zoo room restricted, so there's plenty for curious noses once you've eaten.

Grub Kitchen opens Thursday to Sunday from 10:30 to 16:30 and is closed Monday to Wednesday. There's a tarmac car park on site with disabled spaces. It's the kind of place that makes a coastal dog day feel more adventurous, especially if you're happy to let the dog supervise the table while you work out whether you're brave enough to order crickets.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside Grub Kitchen, so nobody needs to do the car-park waiting shuffle. The wider Bug Farm site is dog-friendly on leads — the only no-dogs zone is the Tropical Bug Zoo room.
