Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Indoor Welcome Last Verified:

Hardraw Force is a paid waterfall attraction in the woodland above Hawes and well-controlled dogs are welcome throughout the grounds. Access is via the Green Dragon Inn side, leading to the woodland paths, cascades and England's highest unbroken single-drop waterfall. It's a worthwhile visitor destination rather than a casual walk, with an admission charge and heritage interest woven into the experience.
The site opens daily in summer from 10:00 to 18:00; winter hours vary and it's worth checking ahead before setting out. Dogs can explore the waterfall and woodland freely on lead, making this a rewarding outing for owners who want a little more structure and story than a typical Dales ramble.
Hardraw Force sits about a mile and a half north of Hawes, so it pairs naturally with a wider day out in town. The setting is striking, the paths are manageable and the whole visit feels properly dog-inclusive without requiring indoor access.
