That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Harry’s Bar is a friendly, energetic micropub in the centre of Alnwick serving ales and whiskies daily. It’s a great little stop for a daytime drink, a catch-up, or a quiet “one quick pint” that turns into a second because the vibes are too good to rush. Dogs are welcome inside too, so your four-legged mate can come along and supervise the snack situation.
Later on, things get a bit more lively. Northern Soul and Motown play from 10pm to 1am, so if your night stretches out, you’ve got a built-in soundtrack. For your dog’s comfort, it’s best to keep late-night visits dog-free and bring them along earlier in the day instead.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside, especially earlier in the day when it’s calmer. Later at night the bar gets livelier, with Northern Soul and Motown from 10pm to 1am, so we’d recommend leaving dogs at home for late-night visits for their comfort.
