Haughmond Hill

Haughmond Hill is a Forestry England site just outside Shrewsbury that gives the town a more woodland-heavy walking option when you want to swap pavements for trees. It has parking on site, accessible spaces and the kind of broad outdoor setup that makes it useful for longer leg-stretches and fresh-air resets.

The hill offers the sort of walk that works well when the dog needs more than a quick loop and the humans want a walk that actually feels like a walk. Four waymarked trails suit different abilities, and dogs can be off-lead in designated areas once past the car park zone. The on-site café serves bacon butties, homemade cakes and proper coffee for post-walk refuelling.
