That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Henry’s is a small, independent artisan coffee shop right in medieval Alnwick, and it’s the sort of place that feels instantly friendly. Expect excellent coffee, a tempting counter of cakes and traybakes, and a simple lunch line-up that suits real life, like sandwiches, toasties and soup.
It’s also properly dog-welcoming, which means you can pop in without doing the awkward “can my dog come in?” shuffle at the door. Fair warning though: your dog will absolutely try to make this their new daily routine, especially if anyone nearby unwraps a biscuit.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Well-behaved dogs are welcome inside. Keep them close in the seating areas, especially when it’s busy and the cake counter is calling their name.
