Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill Local Nature Reserve

Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill is a managed local nature reserve on Edinburgh's south side, combining woodland, grassland and a pond area with a network of well-maintained paths. It's a proper day-out destination rather than a generic green space, with clear access points from Blackford Pond, Braid Road near Hermitage House and the Observatory car park. Dogs are welcome throughout the reserve's outdoor areas and paths.
