One of Southport’s standout green spaces, Hesketh Park brings Victorian park grandeur, a lake, walking paths and plenty of room to stretch the legs just a short distance from Lord Street. It was laid out in the 19th century and still carries that proper historic-park feel, while remaining very easy to use as an everyday wander rather than a formal attraction. The mix of open space, wooded areas and landscaped features makes it feel a bit more substantial than a quick local green patch. This is exactly the sort of place that works for slower walks, bench pauses and letting the day breathe a bit without needing a huge expedition.
