The High Orchard is a modern, family-friendly pub just a stone’s throw from Gloucester Quays and Gloucester town centre, making it a handy stop for shopping days, waterside wanders, family meals and working lunches. It has that easy pub-restaurant feel where you can settle in for classic pub food, weekend carvery, drinks, desserts, or one of their regular food offers without needing to overthink the plan.
Inside, dogs are welcome in the bar area, so it is a useful indoor stop if you are exploring Gloucester with the dog in tow and need somewhere warm, practical and properly pub-like. The pub also makes a real effort for four-legged visitors, with a dog menu, water bowls and treats available, which means the dog does not have to sit under the table wondering why humans get all the snacks.
With food served daily, a relaxed local atmosphere, and a location close to Gloucester Quays, The High Orchard works well for casual lunches, post-walk pub stops, family dinners, and those “we’ll just pop in for one” visits that somehow involve chips, pudding, and a dog looking deeply pleased with the whole arrangement.
