Set on Scarborough’s Esplanade, the Highlander Hotel is a seafront pub, restaurant and hotel with wide coastal views and an easy stop-and-stay feel. It works well for a drink, a meal or a longer pause if you are staying over, with that classic promenade-side atmosphere where the sea is basically part of the décor. A handy spot for dogs who enjoy a good clifftop wander followed by an indoor reset while everyone pretends they are only stopping briefly.
