Hill of Tarvit Mansion & Garden is a National Trust for Scotland estate just outside Cupar, offering mansion house tours, formal gardens and extensive grounds. Dogs are welcome across the estate's public outdoor areas and gardens on a lead, making it a rewarding day out for heritage-loving owners who like a proper wander with the dog in tow. The mansion itself is assistance dogs only, but the estate and gardens are where the dog day unfolds.

Formal terraces, woodland paths and open parkland give plenty of sniff territory and with livestock on site, close control keeps everyone safe and stress-free. The grounds are open dawn to dusk all year, with mansion opening varying by season and day.

On-site parking is free for National Trust members and Kingarrock hickory golf visitors; otherwise it's £4 for the day. The estate sits about three miles south of Cupar and makes a strong heritage option within easy reach of St Andrews and the East Neuk.
