Holkham Hall is a grand Palladian stately home set in sweeping parkland just outside Wells-next-the-Sea. The historic house itself welcomes assistance dogs only inside, but Holkham Park—the vast estate grounds surrounding the Hall—is dog-friendly and makes for a beautiful day out with leads in hand. Ordinary pet dogs are welcome to explore the parkland on a lead, with plenty of space to stretch their legs while you take in the views across the landscaped grounds.

It's a worthwhile stop for anyone combining a visit to Wells-next-the-Sea with a proper estate walk and tickets can be booked in advance or bought on the day. Parking on the estate is paid.

The Hall offers combined ticket options including the Walled Garden, so you can plan a longer visit. Just remember your dog won't be able to join you inside the house, so it's best suited to days when someone can stay outside or when you're happy to take turns exploring indoors.
