Holme Pierrepont Country Park is a 270-acre country park just east of Nottingham, home to the National Water Sports Centre and a generous outdoor space for dog walkers. Dogs are welcome across the park's lakeside paths and open grounds, making it a solid choice when you want room to roam without the tight turns of an urban park.

The rules are practical and clear: dogs must be under control at all times, with leads required around the Regatta Lake where watersports activity is high. Beyond that perimeter you've got plenty of space to explore and the country park layout means there's usually enough distance between you and the nearest canoe to keep everyone relaxed.

The park opens Monday to Friday from 6am to 9pm and weekends from 8am to 5pm, so you can fit in an early or late circuit around the schedule. There's a country park car park on site and the mix of open ground and lakeside paths gives you options whether your dog is here for a proper walk or just a sniff about between watersports spectating.
