Invereshie and Inshriach National Nature Reserve is a managed woodland and hill reserve south of Aviemore, with open-access paths and a car park by the Allt Ruadh. The reserve offers a short 30-minute visitor walk and wider trails through scenic pine and birch woodland, making it a practical day out for dogs who need moorland, forest and proper sniff time. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor reserve paths and access areas year-round.

Between April and August, keep your dog on a short lead or under close control to protect ground-nesting birds. Outside those months, responsible off-lead access is permitted where appropriate.

The reserve is designed for wildlife observation and quiet exploration rather than facilities, so plan accordingly. The car park is 4 km south of Feshiebridge on the Achlean road and the reserve operates on an open-access basis with no admission charge or booking required.
