That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Jay Jay’s at the Beach Cafe is a breezy beachfront stop in Gorleston where you can settle in properly rather than doing the usual seaside juggle with a dog tied up outside. Right on the Lower Esplanade, it pairs beach views with a proper cafe-bar setup, so it works just as well for a breakfast stop, a lunch by the sea, or a wind-down drink after a sandy dog walk.
There is indoor seating for when the coast turns dramatic, and the whole place has that easy holiday-energy feel that suits muddy paws, salty air and humans pretending they only popped in for a coffee.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside, which is excellent news when the weather is being weird or the beach walk has already turned everyone into a sandy little situation. Keep dogs on leads and tucked in nicely indoors
