Kellie Castle & Garden is a National Trust for Scotland castle and historic garden near St Andrews, open for guided tours and garden visits. Dogs on a lead are welcome throughout the organic garden and grounds, making it a proper heritage day out for dog owners who want to explore formal gardens and estate paths together. The castle runs hourly guided tours from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm, but only assistance Dogs are welcome inside the building.
The organic garden and grounds stay open from dawn to dusk, giving you plenty of time for a wander without the pressure of tour timetables. There's on-site parking with a £4 fee for non-members and disabled parking beside the castle.
This is a full-scale attraction with visitor facilities and enough outdoor space to make the trip worthwhile, even when the castle interior itself is off-limits for ordinary dogs. It's a straightforward grounds-only visit, but the gardens are the main draw and they're all accessible on a lead.
