Kenilworth Castle and Elizabethan Garden

Kenilworth Castle and Elizabethan Garden is a major English Heritage site just south of Warwick, where dogs on leads are welcome to explore the castle ruins, grounds and the formally planted Elizabethan Garden. It's a striking day out for history-loving dog owners who want ruins to roam, wide open green spaces and enough history to keep everyone happy while the dog takes their time sniffing centuries of stories. The castle remains are substantial, with towers, courtyards and enough grass to stretch legs and leads.

The Elizabethan Garden adds formal paths, boxed hedges and seasonal planting, all open to dogs on leads. There's also a tearoom and visitor facilities on site, though indoor access for ordinary pet dogs isn't confirmed. Open daily from 10am to 5pm, with last entry at 4.30pm.

There's on-site parking, though space is limited and non-members pay; members with a valid car sticker park free. Advance booking is advised for discounted entry, but day tickets are available too.
