Killiecrankie Visitor Centre

Killiecrankie Visitor Centre sits at the gateway to the dramatic Killiecrankie Gorge near Pitlochry and dogs are welcome both on site and inside the visitor centre itself. Leads are required indoors, but the whole venue is built for outdoor exploration, with footpaths winding through historic woodland and down to the famous Soldier's Leap. The on-site car park makes arrival straightforward, though there's a £5 charge.

The visitor centre is open year-round, with longer hours from April to October (daily 10:00–17:00) and shorter winter hours (daily 10:00–16:00). Your dog can accompany you inside to browse displays about the 1689 Battle of Killiecrankie, pick up trail maps or warm up after a muddy ramble. There's a café on site with the same seasonal hours, making it a natural midpoint for longer walks.

The surrounding paths are famously dog-friendly, with riverside trails, woodland loops and plenty of sniff-worthy undergrowth.
