Kilnsey Park is a multi-activity rural visitor attraction in the Yorkshire Dales, about 10 miles north of Skipton. Set in open countryside, it offers fishing lakes, a Discovery Trail, farm animals and wildlife features alongside a café and gift shop.

Dogs on a lead are welcome across the main visitor areas and Discovery Trail, making it a useful countryside day out when you'd rather not leave them behind. Access is clearly mapped: dogs are allowed throughout the general visitor areas but not permitted on the fishing lakes or their immediate surrounds, so you'll need to plan your route accordingly.

The park is open daily from 9am to 5pm and free parking is confirmed on site. It's a solid option for a half-day outing when the weather's decent and you need somewhere with a bit of variety – animal encounters for the humans, plenty of sniff potential for the dog and enough space to stretch everyone's legs without the pressure of a full hiking day.

Good to know:

Dog Policy:

Dogs on a lead are welcome across the main visitor areas and Discovery Trail. They're not permitted on the fishing lakes or their immediate surrounds and picnic restrictions apply around the lakes and café patio.
