The Kings Arms is a community pub on the A379 just outside Dartmouth and dogs are welcome inside in the bar area.

It's a proper village local with food, drinks and a friendly atmosphere that works well for walkers and visitors exploring the Strete stretch of coast. The bar is dog friendly, so you can settle in together without leaving anyone outside while you grab lunch or a pint. The pub has a car park a little further west on the A379, which takes the edge off arrival logistics when you're carrying leads, bags and possibly a sandy, post-walk retriever.

It's a useful stop if you're tackling the South West Coast Path or exploring the village and the sort of place where wet paws and a thirsty dog after a coastal loop won't raise an eyebrow.

Good to know:

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside in the bar area. It's a friendly community pub where well-behaved dogs can join you for food and drinks.
