That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Kinlochlaich Garden Plant Centre is a substantial specialist nursery set in a walled garden on the A828 coast route near Appin, about 27 miles northwest of Fort William. Dogs are welcome inside the retail areas, so you can browse hardy perennials, climbers and seasonal stock together without the usual juggling act outside.

The nursery is a destination stop for plant-focused visitors, with a large selection suited to West Highland conditions and enough variety to warrant a proper wander. Indoor dog access means you can take your time comparing varieties and loading the trolley while your dog supervises from the aisle.

There's no café on site, but the nursery itself offers a useful pause on the scenic drive between Fort William and Oban. That clear dog access keeps the browse part of the same outing rather than ending in another doorway handover.
