That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

A family day out with trains, play, and an indoor soft play hub that’s basically designed for “burn off energy, then refuel”. The Engine Shed is a multi-level soft play zone that’s brilliant when the weather does its usual Cornish mood swing, with a café setup for grown-ups to recover while the kids go full pinball. It works as a proper half-day plan, especially if you want something that’s not beach-based but still feels like a treat. Dogs are welcome inside, which is handy for families travelling with a well-mannered pup, but this is a busy, kid-friendly environment. Keep doggy etiquette extra tidy: short lead, calm settle, and no joining the soft play (even if your dog believes they are a toddler). Outdoors, pick up after your dog and keep walkways clear.
