Laugherne Brook Local Nature Reserve is a more natural, wilder-feeling green space that runs for about a mile through woodland, scrub, meadows, and grassland. That makes it especially good for dog walks that feel softer and less formal than a park lap, with more of a local escape-hatch atmosphere to them. It suits sniffy dogs, slower walkers, and anyone who wants greenery with a bit more texture and variety. A lovely option for everyday wandering when the dog would prefer birdsong, undergrowth, and “important hedge news” over pavements and traffic.

Good to know:

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome on the reserve. Please keep it clean, respect wildlife habitats, and remember the undergrowth belongs to nature, not excavation projects.
