Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Last Updated:

This is one of those rare day-outs where the dog gets to be part of the plan, not a logistical footnote. You can hop on a proper heritage steam train, settle into a designated dog-friendly carriage (the open-plan ones with tables), and let your dog watch the world go by while you do your best “I am calm and nostalgic” face. Back at Ludborough, there’s water available and a dog-friendly area in the Steaming Kettle Buffet café for a post-ride snack stop.
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome on the trains for £1 per dog and must travel in the dog-friendly open-plan/table carriages (not the private compartment carriages). Dogs are also welcome in the dog-friendly area of the Steaming Kettle Buffet café, and water is available. Assistance dogs are allowed in all areas, and pet dogs may be restricted from the gift shop (staff can help you while you browse).
