Lotherton is a country estate near Leeds with formal gardens, open parkland, woodland trails and a popular café – all set in grounds where dogs are genuinely welcome. You'll find off-lead freedom across the open parkland, boundary trail and woodland, with short-lead rules in the courtyard and formal gardens. The estate also has a wildlife attraction and museum, both out of bounds to ordinary dogs, but assistance dogs are permitted everywhere.
Dogs are allowed in the café, so you can settle in for a coffee without leaving anyone in the car. The estate is open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with longer hours during the summer months. Parking is included in the admission charge, with pay-and-display available during quieter periods.
It's a proper day out for dogs who enjoy variety – sniff-heavy woodland, open grass for a canter and neat gardens for a more dignified stroll. The Wildlife World and playground are off limits, but there's plenty of estate to explore together.

Dog Policy:
Dogs welcome outdoors across the estate's public outdoor areas except Wildlife World and the playground. Off lead in open parkland, boundary trail and woodland; short lead in courtyard and formal gardens.
