Lynbay Fish and Chips in Ilfracombe is a classic seaside chippy where dogs are welcome inside, so nobody needs to do the pavement shuffle while someone queues. It's quick, comforting, and perfectly designed for that post-walk feed when your dog is tired enough to behave like an angel, at least for fifteen minutes.

Open 11am-10pm daily, you can grab your portion together and head out to find a bench, or sit in the restaurant with your dog and enjoy the unbeatable combo of salty air and proper chippy joy. It's a great option for dogs who aren't café loungers but love being included in the outing anyway.

Bring water, maybe a towel for sandy paws, and practise the ancient art of eating one chip at a time while your dog negotiates with their eyebrows. Bonus: you can plan the next walk while your food is still hot.
