Lynford Arboretum is a Forestry England site near Mundford, just outside Thetford, where dogs are welcome to explore the outdoor grounds and picnic areas. It's a calm, established day out built around specimen trees, birdlife and quiet woodland paths—perfect if you want a proper sniff-and-stroll without crowds or tight indoor spaces.

The arboretum is open dawn to dusk every day of the year, so you can plan around your dog's schedule rather than fixed visiting hours. There's an official on-site car park with accessible spaces; payment is cashless via RingGo, so it's worth sorting that before you arrive.

Standard Forestry England dog code applies, which means keeping your dog under control and respecting other visitors and wildlife. It's outdoor-only access, but for a steady-paced walk among interesting trees and open picnic spots, it does the job without fuss.
