That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Melvyn’s Cafe is a dog-friendly, home-from-home kind of place, the sort where you can exhale the second you walk in. Pop in for a warm drink and something tasty, settle into the cosy atmosphere, and let your dog enjoy being included instead of parked outside. It’s simple, welcoming, and ideal for those days when you and your pup both need a reset.

Dogs are genuinely welcome here, with water bowls available and plenty of fuss from a team who clearly enjoy having them around. While there isn’t a formal dog menu, it’s not unusual for visiting pups to be treated to the occasional sausage, making it feel more like a stop they’re included in rather than just tagging along.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs welcome inside. Keep them close and well-behaved, and be prepared for your dog to act like they’ve found their new favourite living room.
