Mendip Activity Centre

Mendip Activity Centre is a large outdoor activity site south of Wells, offering a full programme of bookable adventures across a woodland estate with free onsite parking. It's the sort of proper day-out destination that usually means leaving your dog behind—but not here. Well-behaved dogs are welcome onsite and can join you for Frisbee Golf, the Nature Trail (on lead) and Orienteering.

Most other activities—including archery, climbing and high-ropes sessions—require separate dog care during your session, so it's worth checking which experiences work with your dog before you book. The outdoor setting and mix of dog-joinable options make it an unusually accommodating choice for active owners who want to squeeze in some adventure without organising a dog-sitter.

Advance booking is strongly recommended, especially at weekends and during school holidays. Open year-round, with individual session times varying by activity.
