Merrivale Model Village is one of those delightfully odd seaside attractions where you start off "just having a quick look" and somehow end up fully invested in tiny towns, miniature railways and whatever on earth is happening with the model rocket. Set right on Great Yarmouth's seafront, this landscaped village packs in winding paths, animated scenes, gardens and a surprising amount to spot if you slow down and let the dog lead the pace.
It is mostly outdoors, which makes it an easy win after a beach walk, but there are indoor bits, a café and little extras like crazy golf and vintage amusements to stretch it into a proper outing.
