Mid Ulster Garden Centre

Mid Ulster Garden Centre is a large independent destination garden centre in Maghera, around 25 miles from Portrush and dogs are welcome inside throughout the garden centre on leads. You'll find an extensive furniture and plant retail offer alongside the usual garden essentials, making it a useful stop for a longer drive out with your dog when you need to stock up on pots, bedding or something for the terrace.

Well-behaved dogs on leads can accompany you through the retail areas while you browse, so there's no need to leave them in the car. The on-site café is limited to registered service animals only, but the rest of the garden centre is open to ordinary pet dogs.

Free and ample parking is available for cars and coaches, which takes the logistical sting out of a visit when you're travelling with the dog and a car boot destined to be filled with compost bags. It's a genuinely useful indoor shopping option within the wider Portrush catchment when the weather turns and you still need to tick something off the garden list.
