Midgar Coffee is a compact independent coffee house on St John's Street in the centre of Bury St Edmunds, where dogs are welcome inside alongside their humans. That simple inclusion is especially useful when the weather turns or the day needs a proper sit-down pause.

It's the sort of spot that fits neatly into a town-centre shopping loop or caffeine stop between errands, without the fuss of leaving anyone tied up outside. Puppuccinos are available for the table supervisor, which at least keeps the pleading eyes occupied while you tackle your flat white. Open Monday to Friday 8am–4pm, Saturday 9am–5pm and Sunday 9.30am–3pm, it's a handy pause button in the middle of a busy town day.

The central location means you're well placed for more wandering once everyone's recharged. That straightforward access is the detail that turns a quick drink or meal into a genuine break for the whole group.
