That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Right in the heart of Alnmouth, Nanna Pat’s is one of those “we’ll just pop in for coffee” places that quietly turns into lunch, cake, and a second round of drinks. A small, family-run café and bistro with a warm, busy feel, it’s known for homemade classics, generous portions, and that proper seaside tearoom energy after a beach walk.
Inside is snug and often buzzing, with a handful of tables that fill quickly, while outside seating catches the sun when the Northumberland weather behaves. Expect everything from crab sandwiches and stotties to cakes that make “just one slice” feel like a personal challenge. Dogs are part of the rhythm here, not an afterthought — muddy paws, hopeful eyes, and the occasional treat all very much in the mix.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside and out, so they can settle properly rather than hover at the doorway. Expect friendly fuss, water, and often a well-received treat making an appearance.
