The National Show Caves for Wales in Brecon is a full-day family attraction where friendly dogs are welcome in the show caves themselves—a rare chance to explore underground geology together. Dogs must stay on a short lead throughout the caves and owners should carry doggy bags. The site includes a dinosaur park, museum, farm, shire horse centre and indoor and outdoor play areas, but dogs aren't permitted in the coffee shop or the shire horse centre zone (including the farm, play areas and Millennium Stone Circles).

If your dog becomes unsettled, staff may ask you to return them to the car. Large car and coach parking areas are free to visitors on site.

It's a full day out for families and the caves offer something genuinely different for dog owners willing to work around the restricted zones. Plan your visit around the caves, keep leads short and sniff breaks efficient and you'll have a memorable underground adventure with your dog in tow.
